Thankful For My Skin - Why I Don't Like Plastic SurgeryAN: Before we go on this fails at life. But I would like to Thank Sue for her help as well. Her input was good. Mine fails……I have a poem though… Today there seems to be a growing trend as to the numerous amounts of people getting plastic surgery. What’s more is that there seems to be more advertising for it and I see it everywhere I go. It comes to a point where I sit there and think why? I can see in some extreme cases why the person chose, but now people are trying to perfect their imperfections…. This is why I am posting.
Bigger breasts don’t usually mean bigger good attention. Right? And personally, I don’t want to be sat on the toilet seeing this glaring advertisement telling me my already sagging DD breasts need to be bigger. Not cool.
The money spent for treatment is extortionate! Really? Buy a new car, go on a clothes shopping spree, get your kids good things and why not give to charity?
I’m sorry but your children wont inherit your new nose. In fact, they will inherit your old one and frankly, they’d still look adorable. I don’t want to give up the compliment of “He looks just like you.” Because that kid is my creation….and would pull off my nose wayyy better =)
Well, Micheal Jackson, obviously…….he used to be so good looking……….. You really want to risk it going wrong? Because you were created that way for a reason. Your imperfections are what define you. I believe that true love is to know someone’s imperfections and love them too. Heck, Madonna went ape when they airbrushed her famous teeth. I see no more problems with you and as much as plastic surgery can alter your appearence, it cant alter your great spirit ***

just coz people 'may' look prettier on the outside
it doesn't mean they are beautiful on the inside
and vice versa, there is no such thing as perfection
and it's stupid to try and reach it in such an extreme way

I added a new one =D

That is so different from what this was about. Sarah is talking about celebrities who have their breasts enlarged and reduced just to be fashionable. You, on the other hand, can't breathe out of both nostrils? How awful... Have you asked your doctors about having that fixed?
Don't hit out on me, I understand why you'd want to do that......... hmmkay....
Nobody should care what 'snobs' think - that's ridiculous, for sure, if anyone actually gets it because other people think they should.
If someone wants to be in the media, they have legitimate reasons to be thinking about how they look. It doesn't mean they aren't naturally pretty - just as if someone wears makeup, or nice clothes, or perfume, or takes showers doesn't mean they don't think they are pretty.
In my opinion, it is both. Adverts are made and cleverfully designed for some gullible people to buy their product. And yes, the person who takes that without research properly is stupid.
All I am saying with this, is that extreme examples such as Breast reductions and your cases, can be exceptions of Plastic Surgery. But in nowadays its an accessory and I don't want PS to be glamourised in anyway. It was a way of saying, feel good with yourself. PS should be total last extreme resort...........
I'm probably skinnier than I should be, and I'm kind of awkward looking. Too big of a nose, but it's what makes me Kiley. I wouldn't be the same person without them though, and I'm definitely not afraid of imperfection, because the human race in the definition of the very word.
